Top Quality Braunvieh Genetics

Prazak Braunvieh Farm is located in Brenham, Texas which is the heart of Washington County. We are located along the Highway 290 corridor about half way between Houston and Austin.

Our family of four loves the Braunvieh breed and all of us are instrumental with improving our herd. We are also members of the Braunvieh Association of America (BAA) as well as the Texas Braunvieh Association (TBA).

There is a saying in Brenham, Texas that it is known for the “Three B’s” – Bluebonnets, Baseball and Blue Bell. I think there is another ‘B’ that can be added and that would be Braunvieh.

At Prazak Braunvieh Farm, we feel that the Braunvieh breed is a little secret that is about to take the industry by storm. This breed of cattle has the potential to do so many things for not only a registered breeder, but can also enhance any commercial herd.

There continues to be more activity and interest with the Braunvieh breed and we are very happy to be a part of this great association. We started with only a few head of Braunvieh cattle back in 2011 to go along with our commercial herd of cattle.

We have been very pleased with how the Braunvieh breeding has enhanced our commercial cattle from increased weaning weights to overall efficiency. We have grown our purebred Braunvieh herd to over 75 head and it continues to grow. We are also starting to work on building the fullblood herd as well. We had the opportunity to grow with the superior line of genetics from Broken Oak Ranch in Seguin, TX.

Prazak Braunvieh Farm is set to continue providing some of the best genetics in the industry as we have some awesome sires in the making as well as some champion donor cows to keep the trend going. Our goal is to continue focusing on superior quality and genetics and provide the industry with some of the best registered Braunvieh cattle on the market.
